Homeless Prevention and Emergency Assistance Program

In July 2015, AHA started the CAP Homeless Prevention and Emergency Assistance Programs to assist Monmouth County Residents at or below 125% of the federal poverty level. Eligible clients are able to receive a grant up to $2,000 to assist with a security deposit, rental arears, mortgage payment, utility bills or outstanding property taxes. During the application process, clients participate in case management services to address their needs. Financial Literacy is also provided to determine possible long lasting solutions. AHA has partnered with the Bayshore Family Success Center, Community Affairs and Resource Center, Mental Health Association and HABcore to better assist clients throughout Monmouth County.
